My main purpose in writing this blog is to continually write. That might sound silly considering I write for a living, but as a paid copywriter, I write for someone else, subject to someone else's strategy and edits. That's not necessarily a bad thing (although we all know that sometimes it's not good), but they're not my own thoughts.
I've toyed with the blog idea for years, starting a couple along the way. Inevitably, I stopped. Perfection, overthinking and procrastination won. I have to work hard at changing "I can't" into "I can," because both are true. It's up to me to determine where I put my energy. Writing something like this blog will be a good practice, because in order to do it, I have to throw out things like perfection, overthinking and procrastination. And I was told you can't think yourself into right acting. You have to act yourself into right thinking.
So welcome to my writing blog. I'll write thoughts in the advertising, marketing and branding worlds. I'll write about my personal writing challenges. And I'll muse about writing in general. Enjoy!
